Gave it the old college try. I figured since on Thursday afternoon we caught fish on the outgoing tide on 8the Ave, maybe I could hook up on next outgoing tide. Forget it. I fished the bowl for an hour, barely able to get the fly in the water because of the N, NE wind that was dead straight in my face. You know it's tough when you stand the fly rod up and your fly is parallel with the ground. I might be able to give it a shot later, then most likely off for the weekend.
