Went down yesterday and the winds were kicking and the ocean big and angry. It's going to take a day and tide or so post Harvest Moon to settle things down a bit. Went out this morning on the ebb tide and looked to hit a pocket or two. Even with a sinking line it was difficult to fish, but still enjoyable as this change in the weather, winds, and seas is all part of why fall fly rod fishing for striped bass is so much fun.
