The fly shop was opened in 1973 and was a stop for anyone fishing the streams in western and northern New Jersey, especially the South Branch of the Raritan River and the Ken Lockwood Gorge. In a time when local fly shops are a thing of the past or non-existent it is nice to see Shannon's brave the internet storm and remain open. A teacher by profession, Jim will be missed by the thousands of customers and friends he had made through his passion for fly fishing.
