06.03.25 Bluebird skies and brown water....

After getting back from the Catskills the river doubled to 24,000 cfs following a barrage of rain somewhere up north. My buddy went up on Friday and had to basically turn around because the Upper Delaware rivers were blown out. If you look above you can see the river has crested crested and it's running at 33,000 cfs. And with those numbers brings brown water, lots of logs, and difficult to fish.

But there's still some nice ones around and with 62 degree water temps why wouldn't they stay. There's still river herring that will making their way down, coupled with the YOY shad fry, plus an eel swimming around. My trips are quick shots between writing a final exam for Wednesday, packing for my upcoming trip, and getting some much needed stuff done around the house.

And there's good news coming off the heels of "Bob Popovic's Day" yesterday as today it was put into law that every June 1st will be known as BPD throughout the state of New Jersey. The final vote was 38-0 with two no shows. I couldn't imagine anyone saying no to this.
