Got the wake up text from Delaware Joe at 0534 asking, "Are you there?". That meant only one thing, Joe wants to fish. So I dropped a pot of coffee and headed down. It was Joe's first outing since some back surgery he had over the winter. Top of the tide with a short window before the drain got pulled.
Some boats, some birds, and some small fish looking for an eye-opening meal. Landed one tot and had a few follows. Water dropped almost 1,000 cfs overnight. Not good. Temps at 64 now with low water only means 70 before you know it. Then we're talking stress to the fish due to the low water, low oxygen, and high water temps. This spring has been a bust out here. Looking forward to the Vineyard.
