05.03.14 Went back at it on a different tide and different wind....

Hit the same numbers at the end of the ebb tide. Wind turned around and started to blow SE which made casting south not fun and pooled up all kinds of debris on the south sides of the groin. Needled a few casts it and landed one, missed one, and turned one.

There's a good amount of fish up and down the beach which seem to run from micro bass to low twenties (inches). Waters still chilly so gotta work retrieves on the slow side. Also, with the smaller fish around make sure you pinch that barb on your hook down. Using 2/0 and 4/0 hooks can make for a tough hook out. The fish above inhaled the fly, and I didn't have the barb pinched, which made for some tense moments getting the fish back free.
