12.12.13 Ice on the guides kind of day.....

Had a short window to fish this morning. End of the outgoing, west wind, flat water, just above 20 degree air temps. That equals plenty of ice on the guides and a not-so-supple fly line.
Saw one fish caught on a bucktail out further then I could cast. Have to say it was fun being up to my waist at low tide making my way out on the bar. My legs and feet were fine in the 40 + degree water temps, it was my hands that the air got to.

Wish I could have stayed around when there was more water in close. The bass are still here. And, today I saw lots of gannets diving on herring way off the groins.
