12.10.11 Getting a feeling of things picking up above the Manasquan Inlet

I think any remaining anglers left in Monmouth County may be rewarded for sticking it out. I have been hearing of large pods of bunker with bass on them in Raritan and Jamaica Bays. In addition I read the report of Captain Ron's Fisherman HERE for yesterday, Friday, December 9th. It seems like "new" fish have moved in and so has some bait. I went down to 8th Ave this morning and found anglers catching a steady pick of shorts on Bombers and shads. A quick stop in Deal and an angler there said he snagged a sand eel on an Ava.

'It ain't over till it's over!"

Water temps on the outside are ranging from 50 - 53 from Asbury Park down to Seaside. Yesterday in the Shrewsbury River they were 49.
