Happy and safe 4th of July. This morning I went back to Avon and on my second cast I had a striper blow up on a popper fly. I went back at him and that was it for the next two hours. I worked the water from top to bottom starting with floating line and a popper, working in between, and ending with a sinking line and a Clouser. I managed a fluke for all my efforts. Heavy fog extended the morning to no avail, but seeing the one fish kept my interest through the morning.
